Why “Yada” For This Blog Name
“And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.” — Jeremiah 24:7
A Heart to Know
Welcome to Review Yada, a blog born out of lifelong loves — software , business, and Scripture. My name is Lorrinda. I can be found online @sisteradmn on YouTube, Instagram, and X (Twitter).
I’ve long been fascinated by how technology can help us work smarter, organize our lives, and build the visions in their hearts. And just as long, I’ve been passionate about Scripture helping us know truth.
So when it came time to name this blog, the Hebrew word "yada" (ידע) came to mind.

Why “Yada” Matters
The word yada is rich and deeply layered. In Hebrew, it means “know.” But it doesn’t stop there. It appears over 900 times in the King James Version. The KJV is my base scripture translation because it's the one I grew up using. But I am thoroughly convinced what matters is engaging with The Word. As we mature, and allow Holy Spirit to lead and teach us, even our appetite for resources will change and evolve. What matters is committing to getting started or continuing to seek to know God.
Yada can not only mean just knowing "about" something, but also knowing intimately and experientially — to understand deeply, to discern truth, to recognize what is real. This is important because the more the world changes, the better we are to depend on God's Word that does not change.
That’s exactly the kind of knowing I hope this blog inspires — a kind of spiritual and practical understanding that helps you make wise decisions in an age overflowing with information, tools, and shiny new tech.
Because even in matters of software, what we know shapes what we trust — and what we trust and believe determines what we do to make our lives better.

The Heart Behind “Review Yada”
In 2006, I founded Move My Mountain, a technology consulting company built on Matthew 17:20 — that faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains.
But “Move My Mountain” has always meant more to me than just business.
It’s my daily prayer: “Lord, give me the knowledge — the yada — the wisdom — to serve the people you give me to serve while building a business that sustains my life for your glory."
And after years of consulting, testing tools, and helping others choose the right systems to manage their work and income, Review Yada is the next chapter.
In this space, faith meets function — where trustworthy reviews, honest insights, and tested workflows come together to help you steward your time, money, and purpose well.
What You’ll Find Here
At Review Yada, I’ll share, honest reviews, practical guides; productivity and workflow insights, and faith-based alignments — because discernment applies to more than doctrine; it applies to daily decisions too
My goal is simple: to provide my honest, professional opinion before you buy.
Here's a good example: This blog is built on Groove.cm even though everybody knows WordPress is the blogging champion. However, Groove comes with a suite of tools and services that work together in an ecosystem that should make my content publishing more efficient. In my world, if something is more efficient, its benefits can outweigh other tools that have more bells and whistles. Software can save us time. Our life is measured in time. I haven't found it in the bible, it seems wasting time should be some kind of sin.
In fact, this Groove Blog itself is a review. I haven't figured it all out, and as I do, surely those efforts will become blog posts. As of this moment, I am having trouble inserting an image into this post. So, I will contact support and let you know how it goes.
“Knowing” Matters
In Jeremiah 24:7, God says, “I will give them an heart to know me…”
Knowing Him helps us believe His Word and follow His instructions.

I've had a long, beautiful technology career from serving elite entrepreneurs, to working with the fortune 500, nonprofits, institutions of higher learning AND the just-getting-started hopefuls. What I've seen in action up close and personal is "...money answers all things" ~Ecclesiastes 10:19 It is a tool that can solve many problems and change many outcomes, however, faith and money-making can be in alignment. It only takes one specialized skill to serve on a high level and get paid that way, but many of us have more than one skill to offer in the marketplace. Now I can afford to pursue ventures that align with what matters most to me. My days are filled with things my hands find to do that I am happy to do with all my might. (Ecclesiastes 9:10) This blog brings my passions and proclivities together in one place, in 3 categories:
- Review -- software, web apps, interviews, tech solutions
- Money -- income generation, fintech, trends, skill-building
- Scripture -- chronological reflections & understandings
Whether I’m evaluating a tool that helps us make or manage money; a project management app or reflecting on a passage of Scripture, my work is anchored in seeking and sharing the kind of knowledge that helps us make the best decision possible so we can live wisely, work faithfully, and serve generously.
That’s the essence of Review Yada.
A place where knowing and understanding leads to better choices — and better stewardship.
So, welcome.
I’m so glad you’re here.
Blessings,
Lorrinda
